I don't know if I have my words articulated but just follow me as we journey together.
I have waited all my life, so I know what it means to wait.
Waiting is a patience testing meter and it can be one of the hardest seasons of one's life. Sometimes, we don't know what we are waiting for and other times, we do. The instruction is just WAIT, hmm!
Other times there are no instructions but what you want is not just coming through.
I also know that human beings don’t like waiting because waiting makes us feel idle in a way.
During the waiting process, quite a lot of things would happen to you. The cases might just differ.
One thing you must do is work on them because some might be harmful to you while some could help build your strength.
Everyone is in their waiting season, experiences might just be different.
Let me share something personal with you. When I become very impatient, panicking or over working myself, I know there's a problem and majority of the times I am tired of WAITING! Trust me, God knows how to call me back to order and sometimes, I would cry myself to sleep or other times, insomnia sets in. The things I am asking for are legit but is my heart right? So, the first thing God does is to work on my intentions…MY HEART!
The moment He is done with the surgery (heart work), my heart becomes right and I count it all joy when I fall into diverse temptations; knowing this, that the trying of my faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that I may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
James 1:2-4 KJV (emphasis)
Let me tell you about anxiety!
Anxiety is a waiting meter drainer and it does that with ease because we believe we can control everything. Sometimes, our minds are clouded and we can't seem to reason effectively at the time. Anxiety is like a room filled with panic, worry, negative thoughts and feelings that make up a thick darkness that's closing up on you. At this point, your sanity level drops, your heart is heavy and your mind is wavering. There is a part in the creator's book that talks about anxiety. Listen to what it says
"Don’t fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God’s wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It’s wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life." Philippians 4:6-7 MSG
Waiting is the easiest thing but yet it is the hardest thing and it is also a medium by which God wants to reward a man. The waiting process is a pruning, growing, learning and discovery time of your life.
Hey, don't let them deceive you. WAIT!
Don’t be idle while waiting. Get to work, study, learn more skills, build your spiritual meter, exercise your faith, read books, be creative and explore.
See your waiting process as a growing stage.
Remember your redeemer lives and He loves you!
Awesome.
